A childhood obsession with Hollywood starlets led to an early life in the theater, where I spent many happy days on set and behind the scenes as both an actress and makeup artist for the stage. After having graduated with a degree in Fine Arts, I pursued my passion for color and began working in the field of corporate cosmetics, eventually becoming a Cosmetic Education Director for Nordstrom, a department store chain in the US. There I found that my love for teaching superseded everything else: and that the ability to play with color, get messy and inspire others at the same time was to me, pure bliss.
These days my life is decidedly less corporate. I spend most of my time running around the house caring for both of our girls; an 8-year-old tomboy (and future paleontologist), and her sister, a 60-pound spoiled puppy. I have a passion for all things mixed media and love to create whimsical pieces with lots of layers, bright, poppy colors, big eyes and positive affirmations. My art has been featured in various Stampington publications including Somerset Studio, Somerset Studio Gallery, Somerset Life, Somerset Apprentice, Artists’ Cafe and Art Journaling.
